座礁船の撤去、本格スタート 来月末に終了予定−−宮崎・一ツ葉沖 ／宮崎（毎日新聞）
宮崎市・一ツ葉沖で昨年４月に座礁したホンジュラス船籍の大型タグボート「ＫＩＮＹＵ」（１９８トン）の撤去作業が１９日、本格的に始まった。今後、船体に堆積（たいせき）した土砂を取り除き、重油が残っていないか確認した上で現場で解体する。３月末には終了するという。
昨年１１月５日から、工事車両が通れるように船まで橋（長さ約７０メートル）を造り、波の影響を受けずに解体作業をするため船体の周りを鉄さくで２重（外枠約２８メートル×約５３メートル）に取り囲む作業などをしていた。１９日は土砂搬出に向け、船の部品を取り外すなどした。
作業はシンガポールの船主に代わって県が実施する行政代執行で、費用として約１億８０００万円を計上（うち国の特別交付税８３５０万円）。船主に支払いを求めてきた県河川課は「費用が確定し次第、改めて請求したい」としている。【関谷俊介】（毎日新聞）
コメント：運が悪ければ 宮崎市にホンジュラス船籍のタブボート「キンユウ号」が座礁して間もなく半年と 同じ運命になったかもしれない。 それとも、 比貨物船転覆 奄美沖で漂流の１人救助、７人不明−元実習船、広島からフィリピンへ回航中 と同じケースだろうか！
和歌山県沖で６人乗り組みの台船遭難、海保が救助活動
２７日午前１時３５分ごろ、和歌山県日ノ御埼沖西約７キロの海上で、パナマ船籍の台船
「ＭＡＲＩＮＡ ＩＲＩＳ（マリナ アイリス）」＝１３９トン、インドネシア国籍の
乗組員６人＝から遭難警報が発信された。田辺海上保安部が巡視船４隻航空機２機で
付近を捜索していたところ、同７時３０分ごろ、乗組員２人が乗ったゴムボートを発見、
救助にあたっている。
同保安部では、台船は２６日午後５時ごろ神戸港を出港、シンガポールに向かっていた。 現場付近は当時、約２０メートルの風が吹き、波の高さは５メートルだった。

France attempts Erika arrest
IN a dramatic twist to the ongoing investigations into the sinking of the Maltese tanker Erika, a French magistrate is expected to issue an international arrest warrant against the head of the Maltese flag administration. Magistrate Dominique de Talance is understood to be preparing the warrant against MMA executive director Lino Vasallo, after Maltese Authorities instructed Vassallo not to attend a hearing in Paris on 17 December. De Talance had threatened to bring charges against both Vassallo and the MMA in September 2003 for “endangering life and complicity of pollution” in relation to 1999 sinking off the coast of Brittany, however an appeal had been launched by MMA lawyers and is yet to be heard by the French courts. Despite this appeal De Talance is understood to have continued with legal action and demanded that Vassalo personally appear for the second hearing in December. Speaking to Fairplay from Malta, Vassallo explained he did not attend the meeting upon specific request from the Maltese authorities and challenged the legitimacy of the expected warrant. Describing the move as “a bizarre situation”, Vassallo contested that the French Judge had "any legal right to bring charges against another sovereign government authority or any government official acting on its behalf."
